Camelback Resort Review

A couple weeks before Christmas, my family and I took a short trip to Camelback Resort in the Poconos. Our plans to head to Utah for Christmas fell through after my husband got confirmation of his new job in Texas, so we decided to save the money and not make the trip. Well, that meant no snow for Christmas! My boys were very disappointed. So, last minute we planned a short trip and made it happen! Let me tell you, it was magical! We not only got snow, but we also discovered what a “snow squall” was! I totally had to google that. We played hard, went snow tubing, played for hours at their indoor waterpark and arcade, and just had an absolute blast!

Our room there was nice. It was clean, and the beds were comfy; however it was nothing spectacular. What made this trip spectacular was everything we were able to do together as a family while there.

Snow tubing was the highlight of our trip! That morning we got tons of snow, so the boys were beyond excited to go out and play. I’ll never forget the excitement on my boys face watching the snow fall down over our balcony. They could not get their snow gear on faster! Did you know that Camelback Resort is home to the largest Snow Tubing Park in the USA? Let me tell you, just the Snow-tubing itself is worth a trip here!

Another thing we loved about our trip here was all the activities they have for kids. Man, do they go above and beyond! One morning the kids came downstairs and were able to decorate their own doughnuts. Another night Mrs. Claus came and read Christmas books to the kids by the fire. The list goes on. It really made the whole experience truly magical.

The Indoor Waterpark Aquatopia was another highlight of our trip, especially after a long day of Snow-tubing! The temperature is set to 84 degrees, so it feels like an instant tropical vacation the moment you walk in. Honestly we could have stayed there all day. There is a huge splash pad area, wave pool, and even a surf wave simulator the FlowRider!

If you’re looking for a fun getaway with your family, I would highly suggest making a trip to Camelback. It was truly the perfect trip to end the year.
